Occupational Disease

Bob Carter is uniquely qualified to represent workers and their spouses, who have occupational diseases, where proof of medical causation is crucial to the success of a claim. After law school, he completed two years of medical school. Bob Carter successfully pursued benefits for the worker's family in the first asbestos lung cancer workers' compensation trial in Connecticut, Angel Cortes v. Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp., Case No. 61-CRD-3-81 (1982).

Bob has served as a visiting lecturer at Yale Law School between 1980 and 1983, teaching courses on occupational disease. Our office represents those who are suffering from occupational cancers and diseases, including lung, blood, and brain cancers, occupational asthma and other occupational respiratory diseases, such as berylliosis, silicosis and pneumonoconiosis, and those who have become sick from chemicals used in their work.
